Terms of Service

Your account

• Give accurate information when you sign up.
• Keep your password secret. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
• An account is for one person. You must be at least 13 years old to create one.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or create. To run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, process, and display your content: for example, to extract text for search, create previews, and show it to the people you share it with. When you publish something, you also let anyone view it. This permission ends when you delete the content, except where the law requires us to keep it.

You’re responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to upload and share it, including any personal information about other people, such as students’ names and grades.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use TheWebrary to:

• Upload or share anything illegal, or anything you don’t have the right to share.
• Infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
• Upload malware or harmful code, or try to break into accounts or systems.
• Harass, threaten, or exploit anyone, or publish sexual content involving minors.
• Overload the service, scrape it in bulk, or get around storage limits or other restrictions.

Storage limits

Each account has a storage limit. Files in the Trash and earlier versions of files count toward it. Uploads that would go over the limit are refused until you free up space. We may change the limits.

Suspension and termination

We may remove content, or deactivate or delete an account, if it breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or if the law requires it. You can stop using TheWebrary at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing info@thewebrary.online. Deleting an account permanently deletes its files.

Our service

We work to keep TheWebrary available and your files safe, but we provide the service “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be removed. Text recognition and automatic grading can make mistakes, so check important results yourself. Keep your own copies of files that matter to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TheWebrary is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let you know by email or in the app. If you keep using TheWebrary after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
